Senior Social Media Strategist
I'm Chris, Jwoo’s Senior Social Media Strategist. Prior to joining Jwoo in February 2022, after starting out at Glyndebourne Festival, I worked in-house for more than a decade at the Royal Opera House, latterly leading their social and content teams as Head of Brand Engagement and Social Media.
As well as playing a leading role in the ROH’s content and fundraising response to the COVID pandemic, I was also heavily involved in the annual World Ballet Day event in partnership with which brings together dozens of dance companies from around the world for a global celebration of dance through live-streamed rehearsals, generating millions of stream views as well as press coverage in the likes of BBC News and the New York Times. Platform and media partners for the event during my time working on it included Meta, YouTube and TikTok as well as the Guardian newspaper.
While my focus is on Jwoo’s theatrical clients, I have worked across the company's wider roster, representing clients including Warner Bros. and Frameless as well as West End shows such as The Phantom of the Opera, Elf The Musical and & Juliet.
I enjoy attending theatre productions and also have a strong interest in visual art and live music. I also play the guitar, with what might best be described as 'mixed' results.
I enjoy working in social media because - uniquely among marketing channels - it can be particularly effective at breaking down barriers to entry: it allows users to engage with brands on their terms, thereby building a meaningful emotion-led connection between brand and audience.
